I purchased the CPC review blitz and have spent almost every waking hour Bubbling and Highlighting my books. I've watched every video and felt prepared to take some practice exams knowing I would need to increase speed. I'm not getting anywhere close to the results I need.
I've worked in my husbands Chiropractic office for 18 years and plan to expand my skills to medical coding and Medical Compliance Specialty work. (I took a course this summer and have taken my test- awaiting results) Sadly, after taking my coding classes at a local College, I feel less prepared than ever. I'm not sure we could have had a worse teacher. There are so many issues there but after months of practice/study I'm not sure I'm going to be ready on 8/15. At one point she said we'd be ready in with just 10 days of prep. Thank God our applications got lost at the AAPC and none of us could test that early. I'm sure we'd all be disappointed.
After a modified vent there, is repetition the key to picking up our coding pace? Is there an element I'm missing? I typically get just 1 1/2 to 2 hours a night to study and most weekends.
Question 2: Is there a number to call to have a short discussion? I've used the chat and attended a Q & A webinar and am still needed a few questions answered. I've been referred back and forth. It may be that I'm new here and just don't know where to look or what to ask. Thank you!
